ION TECHNOLOGY
Our atmosphere consists mainly of nitrogen (78%), oxygen (21%) and argon (1%).
This is an almost infinite source of free oxygen. Using a next-generation ceramic membrane, the ION converts molecular oxygen into ionized oxygen atoms through an electrochemical process. Upon contact with the membrane, the atoms are immediately attracted to the face of a solid ceramic crystal that can only accept oxygen ions.
The applied small DC voltage (less than 1 volt) ionizes the oxygen molecules and causes the ions to migrate through the ceramic crystal. They then appear on the back of the ceramic membrane and immediately recombine into oxygen molecules.
