PROPELLER PUMPS

Our propeller pumps are specially designed for recirculating aquaculture (RAS) and fish farm water reuse applications. They provide large volumes of flow at low head. Their unique design includes a combined support and pressure pipe made of HDPE (high-density polyethylene).

specifications

  • Construction: A lightweight three-post stainless steel structure connects the engine base plate and the propeller casing.
  • Stand: The HDPE stand supports the pump body and directs the water flow.
  • Protection: The design prevents water from entering the upper parts of the pump (bearing box and motor).
  • Engine location: The external location of the engine makes maintenance easier.
  • Check valve: It is possible to install a check valve at the pump outlet.
  • Immersion: Designed to operate at a minimum water level above the base plate: 0.5-0.7 m, depending on the model.

materials

  • Pump housing: Made of AISI 316L, resistant to seawater with a salinity of up to 40% and a temperature of up to 30 °C.
  • Propeller: Made of high-strength polymer material.

BASIC MODELS

application

  • Specially designed for recirculating water supply systems (USW) for fish, oyster or shrimp farming.
  • They are used in water treatment units at aquaculture facilities where a stable continuous flow of water at a constant height is required.

advantages

  • Robust construction: Provides minimal maintenance and continuous operation.
  • Easy integration: The combined stand-pressure pipe makes it easy to install the pump in the farm infrastructure.
  • Reduced hydraulic losses: The optimized design minimizes pressure losses, which reduces energy consumption.
  • High quality workmanship: Ensures quiet operation of the pump and the use of sealed bearings that do not require maintenance.
  • Easy maintenance: During maintenance, the stand remains in place and the internal structure of the AISI 316 pump is removed.
  • Flexible connection: The outlet can be connected to the channel wall or extended with a rectangular drain tray at a distance.
  • Long-lasting Stand: The HDPE stand is strong and resistant to all sea water conditions, while being completely recyclable.
  • Long-lasting motors: Low-speed motors provide a longer service life.

THE TECHNOLOGY WAS APPLIED TO THREE AQUACULTURES UNDER STRICT RESTRICTIONS

  • Onshore shellfish nurseries: oyster fry are raised in a semi-enclosed system for several weeks to gain size and stability before being shipped out to sea. The height is about 1.1 m, and the standard size of the equipment includes 3 pumps, each of which develops 210 l / s (750 m3 / h). The recirculating flow also transports phytoplankton, and the key to success is to maintain the flow 24/24.
  • Trout and salmon USV farms: While trout farms often operate in "water reuse" mode, our pumps are also successfully applied in land-based salmon USV. Again, a height of 1 to 1.3 m is the usual case, and the flow rate is provided respectively at the level of 200-225 l / s per pumping unit.
  • Shrimp farms that are looking for intensive water use conditions were supposed to improve the water quality at the inlet with fine filtration and even ozone disinfection. In order for their water treatment plant to work with a constant flow and 24/24, we have implemented the same technology. Low altitude (about 1.05 m) and stable high flow (250 l / sec / unit).
